Aug 11 2010

The kids and I decide to finish shopping for school supplies. Mary insists that only WalMart has the colored folders she needs.

On the way, we detour to visit the new location of Smith Flat Charter School

We're considering Smith Flat to augment our planned homeschooling.  It is a college prep charter that holds classes only 2 days a week.

It's down a very unassuming country road, just outside of unassuming Diamond Springs.

I love this place - I mean, the Mother Lode country in the Sierra foothills.   It's pickup trucks full of hay bales and Harleys parked in front of bars.
