On the way, we detour to visit the new location of Smith Flat Charter School
We're considering Smith Flat to augment our planned homeschooling. It is a college prep charter that holds classes only 2 days a week.
It's down a very unassuming country road, just outside of unassuming Diamond Springs.
I love this place - I mean, the Mother Lode country in the Sierra foothills. It's pickup trucks full of hay bales and Harleys parked in front of bars.
